News – June 2nd – Lil Bootsie in deep sue’p

The lawsuits against rappers Lil’ Boosie and Webbie continue to pile up, as the rappers have been sued for missing a concert in 2007 in Mississippi, AllHipHop.com has learned.

In a new lawsuit filed on Friday (May 30) in the Federal District Court of Mississippi, promoters Big Mike of Big Mike Productions and Eddie Reece III of A R Bookings claim Lil’ Boosie, Foxx and 3-Deep failed to perform at “Big Mike’s First Annual Hip-Hop Fest in the Delta” in November of 2007.

The lawsuit also names Trill Management and seeks compensation for up front booking fees, promotional costs and other out of pocket expenses incurred by the promoters.

Lil’ Boosie, born Torrence Hatch and Webbie, born Webster Gradney, Jr., are at the center of a number of breach of contract lawsuits for allegedly accepting money up front and failing to show up and perform.

In Baltimore, the rappers are being sued for $1 million dollars in Baltimore Federal Court, for failing to performs shows in that city on two separate occasions in 2007.

The rappers were officially served with court papers on May 16, as their tour bus was leaving an engagement at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore.

Lil’ Boosie is also being sued by a promoter in Tampa, Florida, for missing a March 23 Easter concert, after accepting a $31,000 dollar advance.

Lil’ Boosie and Webbie are known for their hit singles “Wipe Me Down” and “Independent.”
